Moving to the Netherlands started in 2018 with a Facebook Page for people who want to get information about the Netherlands. We allowed everyone to join and we encouraged users to post on our FB page. Why? Well, we wanted to offer people like you a chance to get a better start in the Netherlands by building a group full of people than have recently moved and people who are going to move to the Netherlands soon. It’s pretty hard to find your way & make friends in the Netherlands and our page surely helped people take the first steps.
During our first 3 years we saw that the relocation industry & the dutch housing market developed in a way that was problematic. We saw new real estate agencies open their doors every week. Housing prices skyrocketing and new service companies open like mushrooms in a forest. The whole relocation industry basically became a jungle where it’s really difficult to find someone you can trust. And since the Dutch Government has decided the real estate industry is unregulated, we decided to start a quality network company (non-profit) with information and a list of trusted service partners. We hope to give you a better chance of a great move to the Netherlands.
